Overview
Today we will apply concepts discussed in a Jira.
The “Cookbook Companion” App
The goal is to create a simple mobile app that helps home cooks find and save new recipes. The app should allow users to:
- Search for recipes by ingredient, cuisine, or meal type.
- View a recipe’s ingredients, instructions, and nutritional information.
- Save favorite recipes to a personal collection.
- Post their own recipies with others.
- Leave reviews and ratings for recipes.
- Follow other users for new recipes.
Tasks
- Create a project for each team on Jira
- Set up the new project using either a Scrum or Kanban template
- Share a link to your project on Blackboard
- Populate the Backlog
- Work together to brainstorm and write user stories.
- Start with the app conceptualization above.
- Are there other issues that should be added?
- Organize and Prioritize
- Arrange the stories in your backlog using one of the prioritization methods discussed today.
